Watch: What Lamar Odom Told Khloé Kardashian About Her Son Tatum During Reunion
Lamar Odom and Khloé Kardashian are breaking the ice.
Amid a rare reunion for the former couple—who were married from 2009 to 2016—during the season six premiere of The Kardashians, the NBA star shared some kind words about Khloé’s son Tatum after catching a glimpse of him on her phone’s screensaver.
Indeed, the former Los Angeles Lakers player admitted it was an “out of body” experience to see a photo of Khloé’s 2-year-old son—the youngest of her two kids with ex Tristan Thompson.
“He look like you a lot,” Lamar told his ex. “Your little boy look like you a lot.”
To which Khloé—also mom to 6-year-old True—jovially responded, “That’s what people say.”
The couple’s meet-up in the inaugural season six episode comes years after their separation, which was largely due to Lamar’s drug addiction.
However, Khloé—who has spoken often about her desire to remain single following her final split from Tristan in 2021—assured elsewhere during the episode that she was feeling separated from the former couple’s romantic past.
“I don’t have a lot of emotions for this meeting,” she explained during a confessional. “I have dealt with so much trauma in this relationship. For years, this was such the love of my life that to learn how to unlove someone, to have to go through all that, it’s almost like a death.”
And Khloé called the meetup with her ex a “mind-f–k,” noting, “I don’t know this person anymore—this is so familiar and so unchartered all at the same time.”
Meanwhile, Lamar approached the meet-up in a more sentimental way, especially given the pair’s last meet-up was in 2016, shortly after he suffered a near-fatal drug overdose.

“I love you for trying your hardest with me,” he told Khloé. “That love, I don’t think it’ll ever go away. I know it won’t.”
