What channel is 2025 NIT selection show on today? Time, TV schedule for March Madness bracket reveal

The 2025 NIT will be a lot different than previous iterations, including the way the tournament releases its field.

There is no formal NIT selection show this year, with the NIT opting to release the 32-team field on social media instead of via one of the ESPN family of networks.

The NIT field composition is also likely to change with new rules about eligibility. The top team from the top 12 conferences as rated by KenPom will get an automatic invite into the NIT, as well as the top two teams from the ACC and SEC. Regular-season conference champions that have an average rating of 125th or better in six metric ratings (BPI, KPI, NET, KenPom, SOR, Torvik and WAB) will also get an automatic invitation.

The debut of a new tournament, the College Basketball Crown tournament, for non-NCAA Tournament participants may also change the available schools for the NIT. The CBC, televised on the FOX family of networks, is expected to feature teams from the Big East, Big 12 and Big Ten.
