This is the live blog for Israel Adesanya vs. Nassourdine Imavov, the middleweight main event for Saturday’s UFC Saudi Arabia fight card in Riyadh.
Adesanya enters the contest in unfamiliar territory—on a two-fight losing streak, with losses in three of his past four outings. The two-time middleweight champion competes in his first non-title fight in nearly six years following championship losses to Sean Strickland and, most recently, Dricus du Plessis at UFC 305 in August. “The Last Stylebender” looks for his first win since stopping Alex Pereira at UFC 287 in April 2023.
Imavov gets set for the biggest fight of his MMA career by far as he enters the octagon in hopes of earning his fourth straight win. In his most recent outing, Imavov defeated Brendan Allen via unanimous decision in a pivotal divisional battle at UFC Paris this past September. The 28-year-old makes his 11th promotional appearance.
