TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Two people are now confirmed dead following a plane crash involving two planes at the Marana Regional Airport.
Marana Police says the crash happened about 8:29 a.m. and involved two smaller fixed winged aircraft.
A local pilot told 13 News at the airport he was about to fly his plane to Payson and was told just before takeoff the airport was closed.
Police say the FAA and NTSB are investigating.
