Tracy Morgan Delays Knicks Game After Getting Sick

Tracy Morgan caused a delay at a New York Knicks game Monday night, March 17, after he appeared to get sick during the third quarter.

Morgan was sitting courtside at Madison Square Garden as the Knicks played the Miami Heat. With about six minutes left in the third quarter, the game was paused as workers were brought in to clean up the area around Morgan’s seat.

Photos and video showed Morgan vomiting on the floor and later wiping his face with a towel as he was taken out of the arena in a wheelchair. The delay lasted about 10 minutes, according to The Associated Press

A rep for Morgan did not immediately return a request for comment. A spokesperson for the Knicks and Madison Square Garden said, “We hope Tracy feels better soon and look forward to seeing him back courtside.”

Knicks forward Josh Hart also sent well-wishes to Morgan after the game, saying, “First and foremost, obviously we hope everything is good with Tracy Morgan. Avid, lifetime Knick fan so prayers go out to him and his health and safety.”

Morgan, 56, has battled a variety of health issues over the years, including diabetes and alcoholism (he underwent a kidney transplant in 2010). Morgan was also in a coma for two weeks after being involved in a near-fatal car crash in 2014.

Since recovering, Morgan has stayed busy with various projects, including his TV series The Last O.G., which aired from 2018 to 2021. He’s set to reunite with Tina Fey for a new comedy pilot, in which he’ll star as a disgraced former football player looking to rehabilitate his image. Daniel Radcliffe and Bobby Moynihan have also been added to the cast.
