ATLANTA — Severe storms moved into west Georgia and metro Atlanta late Saturday and continuing past midnight on Sunday morning, bringing strong winds, lightning, rain and generating a tornado warning at one point.
Around 12:30 a.m., the storm system was still impacting portions of west Georgia and the northwest Atlanta metro, including a flash flood warning for areas of Cobb, Douglas, Bartow, Carroll, Floyd, Haralson, Paulding and Polk counties.
Damage reports so far have included numerous trees down and extensive power outages in areas that were hardest hit by the storms. 11Alive will track damage reports as they come in overnight.
(Note that tree limb road reports come from the Georgia 511 traffic site, which tracks state roads and interstates. Many additional trees may be down on local roads.)

- Report of tree down on a house at Oliver Lane and Bagby Park in Douglasville area.

- trees reported down near intersection of Hwy. 113 and Hwy. 78.
- Tree limbs on GA-14 at both Holly Street and Pine Street outside West Point. All lanes closed.
- Tree limbs on GA-14 at Bell Road outside LaGrange. All lanes closed.
- Tree limbs on GA-100 at Rockridge Road outside Franklin. Lanes closed in both directions.
- Tree limbs on GA-156 at Park Drive near the communities of Redbud, Ranger and Oakman.
