Florida radio host “Marvelous Marvin” Boone paid tribute to his longtime friend in a Facebook post on Tuesday morning, saying he’s “beyond devastated.”
“My Zobanian brother and best friend for over 40 years, George Lowe, has passed away after a long illness,” the post said. “A part of me had also died. He was a supremely talented Artist and Voice actor. A true warm hearted Genius.”
He went on to call Lowe “the funniest man on Earth.”
“I’ve stolen jokes from him for decades. He stole some of mine. He was also the voice of Space Ghost and so much more,” the post continued.
Lowe, a Florida native, was best known for his role as the 40-year-old superhero, Space Ghost, who retired from fighting crime to host his own talk show with real-life celebrities. “Space Ghost Coast to Coast” aired on Cartoon Network from 1993 to 2012, according to IMDB.
