MILWAUKEE — Ole Miss forward Malik Dia had a huge assignment Sunday night, battling Iowa State’s deep, talented front line.
Dia responded with one of his best games in an Ole Miss uniform, scoring 18 points, grabbing eight rebounds and recording two steals in 26 minutes in the Rebels’ 91-78 victory, one that sent Ole Miss to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2001 and only the second time in program history.
Afterwards, RebelGrove.com caught up with the Belmont transfer in the victorious Ole Miss locker room to discuss Sunday’s game and more.
