Low relative humidity values, critically dry fuels, and southwesterly gusty winds up to 30 mph increase the ability of any developing fires to spread quickly. Over past month, we have only received a little over quarter of an inch of rain, which is over two inches in deficit of our normal values of rain. This causes the vegetation to become very dry. In these conditions, vegetation is very flammable and abruptly spread.

Outdoor burning is not recommended. As the winds start to slow down and relative humidity values quickly increasing into early this evening, fire dangers will start to cease.
