Hollywood’s biggest night is Sunday, and there are hundreds of ways to wager on the Oscars. The Academy Awards include 20+ categories, and the highly-anticipated “Wicked” night includes musical performances as well. Beyond the daily sports betting options including on major events like the upcoming NCAA Tournament, movie and entertainment fans can get in on the watch and wager action with additional juicy prop bets to accompany the awards.

While the legality of some of these Acadamy Awards props and betting options varies for select regulated U.S. Sportsbooks, top online sportsbook and Panama-based BetOnline is a fan favorite and has been a market leader in providing more betting options for sports and entertainment fans. That’s especially the case for people in the most populated states that currently don’t offer betting at U.S. sportsbooks – Texas, Florida and California, where the Oscars takes place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

Tune in Sunday, March 2 with the official live red carpet show starting at 6:30 p.m. ET / 3:30 p.m. PT and the ceremony itself set to begin at 7 p.m. ET. The red carpet and ceremony will be broadcast live on ABC Network including local ABC stations, ABC.com, and the ABC App. You can also stream the show live on Hulu, YouTube TV, FuboTV, and AT&T TV.

Television host, comedian and actor Conan O’Brien will host the ceremony to celebrate artistry and innovation in filmmaking. Nearly two dozen celebrity presenters will share the stage, along with musical guests headlined by Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo.

The Academy will continue its mission to recognize and uphold excellence in the motion picture arts and sciences, inspire imagination, and connect the world through the medium of motion pictures.

“The Oscars is totally opinion based,” says DraftKings Director Johnny Avello. “There’s really nowhere to look for what they’ve done in past performances except for some of the previous awards they won leading up to the Oscars.”

Academy Awards

Best Picture

The Brutalist, a movie about a Holocaust survivor emigrating to the United States, won most critics awards and Best Picture – Drama at the Golden Globes. But it’s the third choice in the odds to win. See more insight and odds along with picks from an Off Shore Gaming Association colleague and entertainment insiders.

  • Anora (-290) – Conclave (+210) – The Brutalist (+600)

Big longshots include A Complete Unknown (+3300), Emilia Perez (+6600) and Wicked (+7500).

The Producer’s Guild Award (PGA) went to Anora, a convoluted movie about an American stripper working in a Russian neighborhood in Brooklyn who is set up with the son of a Russian oligarch. The oligarch convinces her to marry him at a Nevada wedding chapel (Las Vegas sportsbook?) to get a green card and the rest of the movie centers around the Oligarch parents trying to get the wedding annulled.

Best Actor

Adrien Brody (-250 up from -190) in The Brutalist is the likely winner, and seemed like a virtual lock after winning all the early awards and BAFTA. If there’s an upset, then Timothee Chalamet (+140), playing Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown, is the biggest challenger followed by Ralph Fiennes (+1200) in Conclave.

Chalamet got a lot of notice leading up to the SAG Award which he won. The SAG is noted as the most important predictor for actor success at the Oscars, but Brody won the BAFTA, Golden Globe for Actor Drama and Critics Choice Award, while Chalamet really only won the SAG and a couple of small film critics awards.

Best Actress

  • Demi Moore in The Substance (-300) – Mikey Madison Anora (+185) – Fernanda Torres I’m Still Here (+1000) – Cynthia Erivo Wicked (+2500) – Karla Sofía Gascón Emilia Pérez (+3300)

Demi Moore got a lot of attention for her performance in The Substance, a movie about an older actress who takes a drug that transforms her into a younger version of herself. However, many critics said that her performance was almost a co-lead role since much of the movie features Margaret Qualley, who plays the younger Moore. Nevertheless, Moore won a few awards including the Golden Globe but most importantly, she won the SAG Award, which makes her the clear favorite. The only other real candidate is Mikey Madison, who plays the forementioned stripper in the film Anora.

Best Director

  • Sean Baker Anora (-275) – Brady Corbet The Brutalist (+150) – James Mangold A Complete Unknown (+2000) – Coralie Fargeat The Substance (+2500) – Jacques Audiard Emilia Pérez (+2500)
