No donuts at Dunkin’

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) – A popular food chain is out of one of its key products at some of its Nebraska locations and possibly across the country.

Dunkin’ stores in the Tri-Cities, Lincoln and North Platte have empty shelves where normally donuts would be sitting.

Employees at the Hastings and Grand Island locations told Local4 that they were notified Wednesday that they needed to pull the product that they had due to a manufacturing error.

Signs alerting people of the situation could be seen at the location in North Platte as well.

Employees in the Tri-Cities said they weren’t able to provide further details into what the error was.

They said it was a nationwide issue as Dunkin’ locations use the same distributor.

Dunkin’ said they are still serving their other menu items as well as drinks.

When asked how long this would last, they were unsure of a timetable from when they will have donuts back.

Local4 has reached to Dunkin’ spokespeople to get a better understanding of the situation.
