PHOENIX, Arizona — Lori Vallow Daybell says she will be exonerated, and she’s telling her story in a television interview set to air Friday on “Dateline.”

Daybell is behind bars in Arizona at the Maricopa County Jail awaiting trial for the death of her fourth husband, Charles Vallow. Her current husband, Chad Daybell, is on death row in Idaho.

Dressed in an orange jumpsuit and wearing purple handcuffs, Lori Daybell spoke with NBC correspondent Keith Morrison in a what the network describes as an “extensive and often combative” interview.

“I will be exonerated. We will both be exonerated in the future,” Daybell said, referring to her husband Chad Daybell. “I have seen things in the future that Jesus showed me when I was in heaven. And we were not in jail, and we were not in prison.”

Daybell was sentenced to life in prison in Idaho in 2023 for the murders of her two youngest children, Joshua “JJ” Vallow and Tylee Ryan, along with Chad Daybell’s former wife, Tammy Daybell. A separate jury found Chad Daybell guilty of the same crimes, and he was sentenced to death last year.

The two-hour “Dateline” special also features interviews with Rexburg Police Detective Ray Hermosillo, Madison County Sheriff Ron Ball, Madison County Prosecutor Rob Wood, retired FBI agent Douglas Hart, EastIdahoNews.com reporter Nate Eaton and Colby Ryan, Lori Daybell’s oldest son.

“I watched someone that I knew my entire life do what she did. And it just changed the way I view people,” Ryan told Morrison. “The way that my sister was treated was with hate, that’s not even human to do what they did to her (body), after.”

“Dateline” airs Friday on NBC at 8 p.m. MST and is available for streaming on Peacock the following day.

Morrison will also be speaking with Eaton about his Lori Vallow Daybell interview this Thursday on “Courtroom Insider.” Watch LIVE on the EastIdahoNews.com YouTube channel at 7 p.m. MST.
