The essence of March basketball is chaos and thrilling endgame sequences. But no one ever talks up about that extremely anxious and/or nervous portion of the program. You know, that part of watching a team you’re invested in trying to close out a win while you try to keep your cool. It’s basically an impossible ask for any hoops fan.
And it’s good to see John Calipari’s daughter, Erin, get in on this sort of “fun.”
As Arkansas inched closer to its first-round upset of Kansas in the men’s NCAA tournament on Thursday, Erin Calipari literally could not watch. When the camera cut to Calipari in the crowd as Arkansas started taking control in the last few minutes, she wasn’t looking up.
Honestly, we’ve all been here, haven’t we, folks?

As it started to become clear Arkansas would advance to the second round, it also seemed that Calipari’s nerves were no longer getting the best of her:
This is a good lesson about March, dearest readers. It’s not for the faint of heart.
