Moneyline

The Pacers have won the last 5 meetings. I do have some concerns about Haliburton’s status, though. This would be his seventh game in 11 days. So I could see him sitting, and I’m approaching it as if he’s out.

The Hawks won on a buzzer beater 2 games ago at Memphis, and they came up just short against Milwaukee. I could see them taking this one. Indy is just 15-15 away from Gainbridge. But I would rather take the points than the modest +125.

Instead, I’ll go with TRAE YOUNG OVER 11.5 ASSISTS (-110). He has 13, 15 and 12 dimes over the last 3 games, and he had 17 dimes against Indy Feb. 1. As mentioned, his 3-point shooting has been dreadful, so I look for him to continue to facilitate.

Against the spread

I’ll take the HAWKS +3.5 (-110) here because I really think Haliburton is sitting. The Hawks covered as 9-point dogs in Indy, and everyone played in that one. So you can’t tell me that changing the venue is worth 5½ points. No, if Haliburton were good to go, this would probably be a 5.5-6.5-point spread.

Over/Under

The Pacers are 5-5 O/U in their last 10, and the Hawks are 6-4. Atlanta has cashed 4 straight Overs, and the Pacers have cashed 4 of 5 Unders. Against one another, these teams are going for Usain Bolt’s world records as the Over has cashed in 5 of 6 meetings. It will again. Take the OVER 247.5 (-105).
