ATLANTA — Hooters, the casual dining chain known for its sports bar atmosphere and chicken wings, may be on the brink of filing for bankruptcy.

According to Bloomberg News, the company has secured a law firm to initiate the bankruptcy process in the coming months. Hooters is reportedly collaborating with creditors to formulate a plan to restructure its operations.

The chain, which is also recognized for its scantily clad waitresses, is taking these steps as part of its efforts to address financial challenges.
