Obviously, no Beyoncé, as the Beyhive had been hoping (think of the security risks!). But there are some heavy hitters headed to NRG. McEntire returns for her 20th rodeo appearance after 11 years away, and genre-bending Texas native rapper Post Malone will take the stage for a set that will likely include hits from his Grammy-nominated country album F-1 Trillion.
This year also brings back fan favorites Paisley, performing for the 17th time at the rodeo, and Bryan, who’s got 12 rodeo shows under his belt. Bun B is back, too, and he’s bringing some friends along to celebrate his 52nd birthday (which technically falls on March 19, but we’re not complaining).
Season tickets for the rodeo are already available. Single-day concert tickets, which start at $25, will go on sale at RodeoHouston.com on Jan. 16 in two waves. Wave 1 tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. for March 4–13 performances, and wave 2 tickets go on sale at 2 p.m. for March 14–23 performances.

Hold on to your cowboy hats: The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is revealing the 2025 concert lineup on Thursday.
Plenty of guesses have been made about who will take the star-shaped stage between March 4 and March 23, including some very enthusiastic members of the Beyhive who think Beyoncé may make a triumphant return to her hometown. Rodeo officials declined to comment on the speculation, but that hasn’t stopped anyone from dreaming of a Cowboy Carter rodeo.
The speculation will end on Jan. 9 when the rodeo announces the lineup at 7 p.m. during an invitation-only party at NRG Center. (Don’t worry: Chron’s Sarah Pearce will be livestreaming the announcement on Chron’s Instagram account.)
RodeoHouston’s genre calendar offered a sneak peek at the lineup in November. Houstonians and visitors can expect several country acts (per usual), hip-hop and R&B, regional Mexican music, pop and rock performances, and a mysterious “wild card” night on March 18.

Last year’s rodeo saw mainstays Bun B, Brad Paisley and Luke Bryan take the stage, along with newcomers Oliver Anthony, Jelly Roll and rapper 50 Cent. Blake Shelton opened the festivities, and Eric Church closed it out.
The Houston Rodeo has included entertainers alongside the competitions since 1942, starting with “The Singing Cowboy” Gene Autry. Over the years, music legends including Selena, ZZ Top, Dolly Parton, Beyoncé, George Strait, Elvis Presley, Reba McEntire, Willie Nelson and more have performed.
Season tickets for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo are now available. Single-day tickets will go on sale at a later date.
