Grammys 2025: How Taylor Swift and Jay-Z Celebrated Beyoncé’s AOTY Win Together

Watch: 2025 Grammys: See Blue Ivy Remind Shocked Beyonce to Accept Her Award

Taylor Swift and Jay-Z know excellence when they see it.

After Beyoncé won her first Album of the Year for Cowboy Carter—her 35th Grammy—at the 67th ceremony Feb. 2, the “Fortnight” singer and rapper shared a celebratory clink of their champagne glasses.

In a video shared to X, Taylor reached over to share a round of cheers with Jay-Z—who shares Blue Ivy, 13, as well as 7-year-old twins Rumi and Sir with the historic Grammy winner—as Beyoncé made her way up to the stage to accept the award.

And on stage, the “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer was visibly touched by finally receiving the accolade after four previous nominations for I Am…Sasha Fierce, Beyoncé, Lemonade and Renaissance

“I just feel very full and very honored,” the 43-year-old gushed as she accepted the award alongside her oldest daughter, and dedicated the award to collaborator and country icon Linda Martell. “It’s been many, many years—I hope we just keep pushing forward, opening doors.”

Many other stars in the audience were moved by Beyoncé’s achievement, with Lady Gaga and Billie Eilish teary-eyed as they listened to the “16 Carriages” singer’s speech.

Beyoncé walked away with two additional awards at the ceremony, hosted by Trevor Noah at the Crypto.com Arena. In addition to also being presented with Best Country Album by Taylor earlier in the evening, “II Most Wanted,” her duet with Miley Cyrus, won Best Country Duo/Group Performance before the ceremony even began.

And Beyoncé’s Album of the Year win comes after several snubs by the Recording Academy in the category, despite being the most decorated Grammy winner of all time. Back in 2017, Adele—who won the accolade that year for 25—emphasized that Lemonade should have won.

“The artist of my life is Beyoncé,” Adele said during her acceptance speech at the time. “The Lemonade album was so monumental, Beyoncé. It was so monumental and so well-thought out, and so beautiful and soul-bearing. We all got to see another side to you that we don’t always get to see and all us artists here, we f–king adore you.”

And just last year—after Beyoncé was beaten out again in the category by Harry Styles in 2023—Jay-Z spoke out again about how the Renaissance artist was due credit in the category.

“She has more Grammys than everyone and never won Album of the Year, so even by your own metrics that doesn’t work,” he said at the 2024 ceremony while accepting the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award. “Think about that.”

Beyoncé’s historic moment was just one of the wins at the 2025 Grammys worth clinking over. Keep reading for more…
