Golden State Warriors Acquire Zach LaVine From Chicago Bulls in Blockbuster Trade Idea

As we get closer to the February 6 trade deadline, the Golden State Warriors are starting to be linked with a number of players around the league. One of them is Zach LaVine of the Chicago Bulls.

It is clear that the Warriors need someone to be their secondary scorer behind Stephen Curry and take some load off the Chef’s shoulders.

LaVine can fit that role perfectly. He has enjoyed an excellent season so far. He is averaging 24.0 points while shooting an extremely efficient 51.1% from the field and 44.6% from three-point range.

On top of that, LaVine has showcased incredible professionalism. While it is an open secret that the Bulls would trade him if the right offer was on the table, that has not been visible in his play.

LaVine has arguably been the Bulls’ best player this season and has also taken his leadership role seriously.

While there are rumors that Curry and Steve Kerr are worried about Jimmy Butler‘s fit in the Warriors locker room, there cannot be any such doubts when it comes to a character like LaVine.

In Newsweek, Alex Kirschenbaum proposed a trade idea that would see the Warriors receive LaVine while the Bulls would get Andrew Wiggins, Jonathan Kuminga, Kevon Looney, Warriors’ 2026 and 2028 unprotected first-round picks, a 2031 first-round pick swap and Warriors’ 2025 second-round pick.

Of course, LaVine would not be the perfect addition. There are question marks over the defensive side of his game.

But if the Warriors are able to find a way to minimize that, a dynamic scorer like LaVine could help reopen their Championship window.

As for the Bulls, there is not a lot more that they can expect out of LaVine’s exit at this point in time and moving on from his contract would give them the opportunity to truly kickstart their much-needed and long-anticipated rebuild.
