Giants move at QB impacts Steelers plans

On Friday, free-agent quarterback Aaron Rodgers was on the scene at the Pittsburgh Steelers facilities but left without a contract in place. However, it might be only a matter of time until Rodgers and the Steelers come together on a deal.

The two teams in the Rodgers sweepstakes were the Steelers and New York Giants. However, it seems the Giants might have gotten impatient waiting for Rogers to make a decision and have moved on. News broke on Friday that the Giants and quarterback Jameis Winston had agreed to terms on a two-year contract worth $8 million.

If the Giants are now out of the mix, this means it’s the Steelers or retirement for Rodgers. It’s impossible to look at this and not feel like the Steelers are being taken advantage of by Rodgers and this whole situation doesn’t look good for Pittsburgh. This is a franchise with a proud, rich tradition of winning and now they are struggling to bring in free agents, are being slammed by former players and now look helpless as they wait for 41-year-old quarterback to come and save the franchise.
