Den of Thieves 2: Pantera — Gerard Butler and O’Shea Jackson Jr.’s sequel to 2018’s Den of Thieves — debuts on Netflix this week.
The official logline for the movie reads, “In Den of Thieves 2: Pantera, Big Nick (Butler) is back on the hunt in Europe and closing in on Donnie (Jackson), who is embroiled in the treacherous and unpredictable world of diamond thieves and the infamous Panther mafia, as they plot a massive heist of the world’s largest diamond exchange.”

Scheuring. Gudegast directed the original Den of Thieves, which in addition to Butler and Jackson, starred Pablo Schreiber and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson.
According to the streaming service, Den of Thieves 2: Pantera will debut on Netflix on Thursday, March 20.
For viewers who don’t subscribe to Netflix, the streaming service has an ad-based package for $7.99 per month that allows streaming on two supported devices, plus an ad-free package for $17.99 per month for two supported devices.

O’Shea Jackson Jr. Appreciates The Pathway To Release Of ‘Den of Thieves 2: Pantera’
O’Shea Jackson Jr. — who is the son of rap and film star Ice Cube — told Men’s Health in an interview before the release of Den of Thieves 2: Pantera how thrilled he was that audiences discovered the first Den of Thieves film in 2018, even though it took some time.
“I think people initially saw just another action film. And then a funny thing happens once you start getting on TV, and then on streaming, and it’s like, ‘No, this was dope. Okay, hold on,’” Jackson told Men’s Health.

It starts to build that fandom and really gets a resurgence.”
As such, Jackson noted that the Den of Thieves fanbase was built, which created the pathway to Den of Thieves 2: Pantera.
“So, when they see the sequel, and, fingers crossed, beyond, they know what to expect. They get other people into it and you get to ride that wave. And it’s been great,” Jackson told Men’s Health. “When it hit Netflix and really took off, and was in the Top 10 for as long as it was, I was like, ‘Okay, I’m going to get a call soon. The call’s going to happen soon.’ [Laughs] And man, I was ready.”

According to The Numbers, Den of Thieves 2: Pantera earned $36 million domestically and $20 million internationally for a worldwide box office take of $56 million. According to IMDb, Den of Thieves 2: Pantera had a $40 million production budget before prints and advertising.
Den of Thieves is currently streaming on Netflix. Den of Thieves 2: Pantera will begin streaming on Netflix on Thursday.
