An Eagles fan went viral for the wrong reasons after Sunday’s wild-card game against the Green Bay Packers.
A male Eagles fan was caught on video verbally assaulting a woman in Packers gear, who was cheering for Green Bay at Lincoln Financial Field. The woman’s fiancé, Alexander Basara, filmed the interaction and posted the video on X.
Basara implored his followers on X to identify the man. “I hate that my fiancé had this happen simply cheering for her team,” he wrote.
According to NFL reporter Derrick Gunn, the Eagles have identified both fans, and the aggressor will be banned from future Eagles games. The Packers fan will be receiving Green Bay gear as part of an apology from Philadelphia.
The offending party’s employer, BCT Partners, released a statement on Monday saying it has opened an internal investigation into the matter.
