Watch: 2025 Golden Globes: Vin Diesel Calls Out Dwayne Johnson Amid ‘Fast & Furious’ Feud
Dwayne Johnson is, once again, ready to rock.
In fact, just hours after attending the 2025 Golden Globes, the Red One actor was the first one in the ring for the premiere of WWE’s Raw on Netflix—which had previously been shown on broadcast for over 30 years.
“The Rock is back,” Chris Gardner wrote on X Jan. 6 alongside a video of the pro-wrestler, “jumping in the ring to kick off this new era on @netflix.”
And while he stood on the ring ropes looking out into a crowd of enthusiastic fans chanting his name, the 52-year-old was also joined by some of the biggest names in wrestling—including John Cena, Hulk Hogan and Shawn Michaels.
But this new era was a special one for the Moana star, as he expressed his honor to represent his Samoan, Polynesian and Black culture with a “warrior spirit.”
“After 20yrs of proudly carrying our culture with me around the world, I can’t wait to soon return back home to Samoa. I already have chills just thinking about it,” Dwayne wrote on X Jan. 5. “Until then, I’ll come back home to @WWE tomorrow night as we make history on @netflix and begin a new and exciting era.”
“Tomorrow night is dedicated to my grandfather, the High Chief Peter Maivia, my grandmother, Lia Maivia and my dad, Rocky ‘Soulman’ Johnson,” he continued, “and my ancestors who have ALL paved the way.”
After all, for Dwayne—who shares daughter Simone, 23, with ex Dany Garcia as well as kids Jasmine, 9, and Tiana, 6, with wife Lauren Hashian—wrestling has become a family affair. And thankfully, his girls have never been the squeamish type.
“Their mouths are on the floor,” he told E! News in February before headlining WrestleMania. “This is an indication of their DNA: They don’t cry. They’re not like, ‘I don’t want to see this.'”

Indeed, Dwayne’s oldest is already the general manager for WWE’s NXT, making her the youngest general manager in WWE history. And, just like at last year’s WrestleMania, Dwayne often gets to compete with his cousin and WWE champ Roman Reigns—though he was not quite ready to award him the “Head of the Table” title.
“Who is head of the table?” he asked The Rundown‘s Erin Lim Rhodes in 2022. “Without saying any names. You’re looking into his eyes right now.”
But above all, Dwayne prides himself on being a dad to three amazing daughters. Keep reading to see some of their cutest family moments…
“Proud of you and as you go down the road, I’ll always have your back,” Dwayne wrote on International Women’s Day 2020 alongside a photo of him and his daughter Simone, who is now the fourth in the family to train to become a WWE Superstar.

“The world will one day hear from you too, my strong little love,” Dwayne wrote in dedication to his daughter Tiana for International Women’s Day.
“And I can’t promise you I’ll love you for the rest of your life,” he continued. “But you have my word I’ll love and protect you for the rest of mine.” Aww.
“1130am, already tired and our butts kicked on the bedroom floor and we haven’t even eaten our Thanksgiving meal yet,” Dwayne wrote on Instagram on Thanksgiving this past year while relaxing with his little one.
Dwayne took on the role of Easter Bunny as his daughter Jasmine hunted for eggs last spring.
Just like that, little Tiana (Johnson’s youngest daughter) celebrated her first birthday in 2019 and boy is she getting big!
