Confirmed Chelsea line up vs Copenhagen

Enzo Maresca has made seven changes to his Chelsea side for this evening’s UEFA Conference League last-16 first leg against Copenhagen.

Our place in the knockout stage was secured after a flawless league phase, and our European campaign now restarts in the Danish capital.

Head coach Enzo Maresca confirmed in his pre-match press conference that Robert Sanchez would start in goal for the Blues – and the Spaniard makes his first appearance in the Conference League.

Trevoh Chalobah is expected to start at right-back and the central defensive pairing consists of Tosin Adarabioyo and Benoit Badiashile, who makes his return from an injury sustained at the start of December. Malo Gusto is set to begin at left-back.

Moises Caicedo is named in the Chelsea midfield and will feature in the Conference League for the first time since our qualifiers against Servette in August. He is expected to be deployed alongside Reece James, who captains the Blues.

Cole Palmer was registered in our Conference League squad for the knockout stage and he keeps his place in the Chelsea attack. There are also starts for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Tyrique George while Shim Mhueka is handed his full debut and will spearhead the attack.

Chelsea: Sanchez; Chalobah, Tosin, Badiashile, Gusto; James, Caicedo; Dewsbury-Hall, Palmer, George; Mheuka

Chelsea substitutes: Jorgensen, Bergstrom, Acheampong, Colwill, Cucurella, Fernandez, Amougou, Neto, Sancho, Nkunku
