Capital One continues to have technical issues impacting account services, deposits and payment processing, according to a post on its X account.

The financial corporation has been updating users on social media after reported issues receiving direct deposits as early as Wednesday evening. Thousands were still reporting issues on Friday, Jan 17, on downdetector.com, with more than 3,000 reports of Capital One being down.

The majority of issues reported, about 90%, were problems with direct deposit.

“We are actively working with the vendor to resolve the issue and restore services, and apologize for the inconvenience,” posted Capital One on X.

Complaints on social media were pouring in on the account.

“What is going on with business checking accounts?” one X user asked Wednesday night. “Customer service told me everything should be working in about 2 hours and it’s going on 3hrs now still nothing has been resolved. The whole account + money is not showing up!”

Among the impacted customers and services were deposits and payment processing for some consumers, small businesses and commercial banks, Capital One said. The company said it is working with the vendor to resolve the issue.

When will Capital One be fixed?

The company has said it is working with a third-party vendor to fix the issue.

The third-party vendor affected is FIS Global, according to CNN, a provider of financial tech services to a number of major banks, including Capital One.

The company didn’t immediately respond to CNN’s request for comment, reported CNN.
