Happy Selection Sunday, friends. We made it.
In one sense, the road to this point started in November, but for a program about to hear its name called for the first time since 2022, today is a day to celebrate more than just an NCAA Tournament-worthy season. Today is a day to reflect on a successful journey out of the woods and back into the national spotlight.
Dusty May’s group will do what he set them out to do before the season started: to play for a championship and a chance to earn a nice consolation prize after the sting of the end of the regular season.
And after Michigan wraps up its game against the Badgers, Wolverine players, coaches, and staff will, like you, me, and everyone else, gather in front of a TV to see where they’re headed next weekend and who they’ll play.
My job is to untangle the mess of NET rankings, Quad-1 and 2 wins, KenPom ratings and all the rest to give you a sense of where Michigan is likely to wind up in the big reveal this evening. What seed are the Wolverines on track to get? Who might they play in rounds one and two, and where? This is March. Let’s get to it.
