Beyoncé announces ‘Cowboy Carter’ tour

(NEXSTAR) — It’s the moment Beyoncé fans have all been waiting for: the music icon is taking her “Cowboy Carter” album on tour.

A simple video posted to Instagram late Saturday night confirmed what many speculated Beyoncé had teased after performing during halftime of a Christmas Day matchup between the Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens. The flashing sign in the video reads just “Cowboy Carter Tour.”

In a follow-up post, this time a photo of Beyoncé, the caption reads “COWBOY CARTER TOUR 2025.”

While both the photo and the video have been added to Beyoncé’s website, which also sports “Cowboy Carter” branding, the “Tour” tab does not have any additional details — like dates, locations, or ticket details — as of Sunday morning.

The tour has been highly anticipated for more than a month.

After her Christmas Day performance, Beyoncé took to Instagram to tease a Jan. 14 announcement. She ultimately postponed it in light of the Los Angeles area wildfires.

Beyoncé was last on tour in 2023, when she performed 56 shows in support of her seventh studio album, “Renaissance.”

With “Cowboy Carter,” Beyoncé leads the nominations for the 67th Grammy Awards, airing Sunday. The 11 nods she received this year bring her career total to 99 nominations, making her the most nominated artist in Grammy history.

Since 2023 she’s also been the most decorated artist, having earned 32 trophies across her career.

Is it finally her time to take home the top prize? If she wins the album of the year, she’ll become the first Black woman to do so in the 21st century.
