Barcelona midfielder Pedri was happy to share his thoughts after scoring the decisive penalty in Spain’s Nations League shoot-out win over the Netherlands.
The Spain star came off the bench to help Luis de la Fuente’s side secure a place in the last four of the tournament.
Here’s what he made of it all:
“It’s nice. It’s already nice to be able to play in this shirt, so scoring with this crowd… wouldn’t have been possible for Unai, who always gives us one or two chances. We’re happy with the qualification,” he told the media.
“It was a tough game. They’re a good team, they play very good football. We started well, and in the end, it came down to penalties. We have the confidence of having Unai.
“The fans are very attached to us. The Euro Cup brought out a lot of fans. I’m happy they support us. I think we play good football for them to enjoy.”
“We are Spain, and we don’t have to fear anyone. We’ll go all out against anyone.”
Spain now go on to play France in the semi-finals. Les Bleus also needed a shoot-out in the quarter-finals to progress as they knocked out Croatia.
