Tonight, Adrien Brody is hoping to finish his awards season strong by winning Best Actor at the Oscars for his performance in The Brutalist. Supporting him throughout has been his girlfriend, Georgina Chapman, and he’s shouted her out in numerous acceptance speeches.
Chapman, a former actor and model, is the co-founder of the brand Marchesa. She was previously married to film producer Harvey Weinstein; in 2017, after more than 80 women accused him of sexual assault, she announced she was leaving him. “My heart breaks for all the women who have suffered tremendous pain because of these unforgivable actions. I have chosen to leave my husband. Caring for my young children is my first priority and I ask the media for privacy at this time,” she said in a statement. Their divorce was finalized in 2021.
In 2018, Chapman revealed she “thought she had a happy marriage,” explaining, “There was a part of me that was terribly naive — clearly, so naive. I have moments of rage, I have moments of confusion, I have moments of disbelief! And I have moments when I just cry for my children. What are their lives going to be?”

Now, that chapter of her life is behind her as Champan is dating actor Adrien Brody. Here, look back on Georgina Chapman and Adrien Brody’s complete relationship timeline.
They first connected in Puerto Rico in 2019.
Brody and Chapman were on a trip with mutual friends, and they learned they shared the same birthday. “So the first evening we had a joint birthday party,” Chapman recalls, “blowing out candles together, and weirdly we even had almost matching outfits, we were wearing the same print.”
According to Page Six, they had met before that trip: “While the designer and the movie star had met and socialized previously, sparks apparently flew when they were both invited to Puerto Rico for the launch of model Helena Christensen’s swimwear line [in] April, held at the swanky Dorado Beach Ritz-Carlton Reserve.”
Brody and Chapman have been dating since at least 2020.
In February 2020, People confirmed Brody and Chapman were an item; a source told the magazine they had been seeing each other “for a while.”
They made their red carpet debut as a couple in 2021.

Chapman convinced Brody to get back into acting.

Chapman has been by Brody’s side during awards season, and he’s shouted her out in his acceptance speeches numerous times.
At the Golden Globes, he said, “To my beautiful and amazing partner, Georgina. Your generosity of spirit, your own resilience, your immense creativity are a daily reminder of how to be. I would not be standing here before you if it wasn’t for you.” And at the BAFTAs, he said, “Thank you to my wonderful, British, beautiful girlfriend, Georgina Chapman, who’s an angel. And if it wasn’t for you and for my wonderful parents, I would not be here so fortunately standing here before you.”
