Canelo Alvarez and Jake Paul are finalizing a deal for a cruiserweight fight on Saturday, May 3, in Las Vegas, according to reports.

The highly anticipated match is generating significant buzz, with fans eagerly awaiting the showdown between the seasoned champion Alvarez and the controversial YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul.

Alvarez’s name was mentioned multiple times during Paul’s match with Mike Tyson in November.

Roy Jones Jr., who commentated during the match, said Paul should move forward and look for an opponent. “People like Alvarez, who might be looking for the toughest fights in the world, might even take that fight. You never know,” Jones said.

“Canelo needs me … He knows he wants a payday; he knows where the money man’s at,” Paul said after the match.
