CLEVELAND, Ohio – For the third time this season, the Cleveland Cavaliers will face the defending NBA Champion Boston Celtics. This matchup will take place at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse today – Tuesday, Feb. 4 – on TNT and truTV. Tipoff is slated for 7:30 p.m.

The Cavs (40-9) are on a four-game winning streak, with their latest triumph being a 144-101 demolition of the Dallas Mavericks, which was less than 24 hours removed from the shocking trade of superstar Luka Doncic.

Cleveland scored a franchise-record 91 points at halftime. Eight Cavs scored in double figures, led by Sam Merrill’s 27 points off the bench on 9 of 13 shooting from beyond the arc.

Boston arrives on a three-game winning streak and is 5.5 games behind Cleveland for the best record in the Eastern Conference.

The Celtics (35-15) are coming off a 118-110 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Feb. 2. Jayson Tatum amassed 35 points, 11 assists and seven rebounds.

The Celtics won the first meeting back at home with a 120-117 victory on Nov. 19. That was Cleveland’s first loss of the season after its historic 15-0 start. The Cavs returned the favor at home with a 115-111 victory on Dec. 1.
