Steve Sarkisian and the Texas Longhorns are headed back to the drawing board, following a 13-3 season and a 28-14 loss to the Ohio State Buckeyes in the Cotton Bowl.
Following the loss in the College Football Playoff semifinals, Sarkisian spoke about the leadership and poise from quarterback Quinn Ewers.
Sarkisian shared high praise for the Longhorns quarterback, who’s led Texas to back-to-back College Football Playoff appearances.
“I’m super proud of Quinn,” Sarkisian said, per On Texas Football. “He’s taught me a lot. Probably unknowingly to him. What he went through every year, dealing with injuries. What he goes through, where, I don’t know if he’d ever live to the standards of what everybody thinks he’s supposed to be. But, at the end of the day all he did was show up every day and work and be a great leader and be a great teammate.”
