ROCKVILLE, Md. (7News) — A water main break in Rockville on Friday evening has left several residents without water, according to the Rockville City Police Department.

A water main break in the area of Fortune Terrace produced heavy runoff on 7 Locks Road, which police advise drivers to be wary of as dipping temperatures increase the chance of icy roads.

Because of the break, 7 Locks Road near Potomac Woods Plaza is closed for maintenance.

Officials have not yet revealed what caused the break, or when they expect it to be repaired.
