The University of New Mexico men’s basketball team advances to the round of 32 after a nine-point win over Marquette.The Lobos were led in scoring by guard Donovan Dent, who scored 21 points to go along with six assists. UNM also got support from senior center Nelly Junior Joseph, who totaled 19 points on just three misses from the floor.UNM pulled away from the Golden Eagles as the score was 58-57 in favor of Marquette with less than seven minutes to play. The Lobos then went on a 10-0 run to take a nine-point lead three minutes later. The Golden Eagles top two scorers combined for 43 points in a losing effort. Senior forward David Joplin scored a game-high 28 points, shooting 6-for-10 on threes. Senior guard Kam Jones tallied 15 points to go along with five assists and five rebounds.UNM will now face to winner of No. 2 Michigan State and No. 15 Bryant.
