Lollapalooza is playing the hits with their 2025 lineup of headliners.

The latest: Several pop stars are set to headline the Chicago festival this summer, including Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Rodrigo and hip-hop artist Tyler, The Creator.

Between the lines: The festival has long abandoned its alternative roots, instead securing world-renowned pop stars to headline the four-night festival in Grant Park.

  • Carpenter is arguably the biggest pop star in music right now and she makes her return to the Lolla stage after her appearance in 2023.
  • Other headliners include Rodrigo, Gracie Abrams, Luke Combs and K-Pop group Twice.

The intrigue: Tyler, The Creator returns after performing in 2021. He was set to return last year but canceled.

  • He’s also performing at the United Center in July, which is rare because Lollapalooza enforces a radius clause that forbids artists from playing in town before or after the festival.

Zoom in: The alternative rock band Korn will perform at the festival for the first time since 1997.

  • Doechii, fresh off winning Best Rap Album at the Grammy’s will make her first appearance at the festival.
  • No Chicago artists are among the headliners.

Zoom out: The festival draws thousands to Grant Park every year and Chicago music fans may be more inclined to attend with the ending of the rival Pitchfork Music Festival.

What’s next: Presale tickets go on sale this Thursday.
