Bracketology: ESPN predicts 68-team field for March Madness on Selection Sunday Eve

ESPN predicted the entire 68-team field for March Madness on Selection Sunday with the latest bracketology from Joe Lunardi. We are just one day away from the best day in college basketball, that doesn’t actually have action during it!

Perhaps the biggest bracketology debate from Lunardi is going to be UNC and Texas. They are currently the last team in and first team out, respectively.

Now, we just have to wait until the conclusion of some conference tournaments. Let’s dive into the latest bracketology.

Last Four Byes: Oklahoma, Arkansas, West Virginia, Vanderbilt

Last Four In: San Diego State, Xavier, Boise State, North Carolina

First Four Out: Texas, Indiana, Colorado State, Dayton

Next Four Out: Ohio State, UC Irvine, Wake Forest, North Texas

The last four byes are safely in at this point with the latest bracketology. But take a look at the end of the last four in and the first four out. North Carolina is in! Texas and Indiana are out. The slimmest of margins right now!

Auburn is still at the top of bracketology following more wins and advancement in the SEC Tournament. Bruce Pearl will tell ya not to mess with his guards! How about Rick Pitino’s squad at the two-spot? Watch out for the white suit!

Duke, despite not having Cooper Flagg, is still the top seed in this bracket. The Blue Devils advanced in the ACC Tournament with a win over rival UNC without their top freshman. An intriguing matchup with UConn awaits in the second round, according to this bracketology. This bracket is loaded and we even get a first round matchup between Gonzaga and John Calipari’s Arkansas squad.

With how they’re playing right now, it seems Houston and Clemson are bound for an Elite Eight matchup. Wisconsin is a very intriguing three-seed as well as Clemson grabbing the No. 5 spot right now.

Florida is on a roll while Michigan State is doing the same. Kentucky is going to be a tough out and another team that could cause havoc could be Oregon. The Ducks are slotted as the No. 5 seed and would love another crack at the Spartans in the Elite Eight.
