3 QUESTIONS

…about getting better sleep

It’s Sleep Awareness Week. I asked Laura Williams, health writer and editor for Yahoo Shopping, which products can actually help people sleep better. Note: When you buy through links in this newsletter, Yahoo may receive compensation.

Divya: Which products have helped you sleep well these days?

Laura: I have two toddlers, so while I may not always get a lot of sleep, I try to maximize sleep quality. I like the Fitbit Versa 4 to track my sleep hours and stages so I know what I’m working with, but my colleague Aly tested 10 popular sleep trackers, and the Oura Ring came out on top.

Divya: What are some other gadgets that can help improve my sleep?

Laura: A consistent sleep routine is key to better sleep quality. If you’re a light sleeper, white noise machines or sleep headphones can help block extraneous sounds, while sunrise alarms help you wake more naturally. I love this Momcozy sound machine, which comes with a sunrise alarm, and these Musicozy headphones.

Laura: I swear by simple sleep aids to help wind down at night, like these melatonin gummies and this pillow spray (which helps my kids wind down too). I also recommend a high-quality sleep mask, like this MZOO one that topped our best-of list. It’s a surefire way to block out light and maximize z’s.

Daylight saving time just started: If you’re feeling groggy, try taking a “NASA nap.”
