AUSTIN (KXAN) — South by Southwest hosted a panel Saturday that featured the cast and creators of HBO’s Emmy-winning series “The Last of Us” at the Austin Convention Center.
Cast members Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey, Kaitlyn Dever, Gabriel Luna, Isabela Merced and Young Mazino were at the panel, alongside showrunners and directors Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin.

A teaser of the show’s second season, which airs April 13, was shown at the panel.
Druckmann, Naughty Dog Studios’ studio head, wrote and directed video game “The Last of US Part II.” Before playing the teaser, he spoke candidly about the game’s production.
“We took seven years on and off to make Last of Us Part II,” said Druckmann about the video game series that inspired the show, “So it means a lot to myself and everyone at Naughty Dog…there’s an army of people who made this thing…it’s kind of mind blowing.”

The show’s previous season won eight Emmy Awards and best adaptation at The Game Awards.
