Meg Ryan showed off her fashion range at the 2025 Oscars. After initially hitting the red carpet at the 97th Academy Awards in a burgundy velvet column gown by Ashi Studio, the actress performed a sartorial 180 and changed into a dress that showcased her star power even more at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party afterwards. 

For the event, Ryan—who presented the final award of the night, Best Picture, alongside her When Harry Met Sally co-star Billy Crystal—opted for a semi-sheer nude dress that was covered in what appeared to be thousands of sequins and pearls, as well as a smattering of crystals that dripped from both the bodice and skirt for good measure.

In lieu of a necklace, the gown’s neckline was outlined in rows of rhinestones and Ryan added even more bling in the form of a giant diamond ring and two sparkling stacked bracelets on her wrist. As for glam, Ryan wore her blonde shoulder-length hair down in her signature curls and complemented her glossy pink lip with rosy cheeks and shimmery lids.

The 2025 Oscars marked Ryan’s first appearance at the award show in 27 years. The You’ve Got Mail star last attended the Academy Awards in 1998 alongside her then-husband Dennis Quaid. On that occasion, she played it safe in a high-neck, long-sleeved black gown, which she accessorized with tiny sunglasses that matched Quaid’s and a swipe of dark pink lipstick.
