(Gray News) – People all across the country planned to tune in to the 97th Academy Awards ceremony Sunday, but some viewers were left frustrated when trying to watch the live event on Hulu.

Hulu users began reporting an issue when attempting to log in to the streaming service Sunday night ahead of the Oscars.

Instead of the Hulu menus, users were met with a message saying, “Unable to log in? We’re on it! Our team is currently investigating and we hope to have things back up and running soon. Thank you for your patience!”

A similar message was posted to the Hulu Support account on X around 6:40 p.m. CT.

According to DownDetector, the Hulu issue popped up right as Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande were kicking off the awards ceremony held at Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

Despite the close relationship between the two companies, no streaming options for the Oscars were available on Disney+.
