HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) — The South Carolina Forestry Commission said “planes and Blackhawk helicopters are en route and likely already at the duty station in Myrtle Beach” on Sunday at 9 a.m., according to State Rep. Tim McGinnis.
Crews from across the state are continuing to fight the fire in Carolina Forest.

As of Sunday morning, the fire doubled in size overnight from 600 acres to 1200 acres large.
Rep. McGinnis said no structures have been lost, but some have been damaged.
He also said no injuries or deaths have happened as of now.
